Blankboard Studio partnered with FairShare, a modern bill-splitting app, to craft a clean, friendly brand identity and a mobile-first website that communicates clarity and trust. From logo to layout, every element was built to feel intuitive, social, and ready for iOS users.

The Challenge

Before we stepped in, FairShare had a strong idea — but no visual direction, product explanation, or digital touchpoint

  • No Visual Identity: No logo, color system, or typography to anchor the brand.
  • No Launch-Ready Website: The app had no landing page to support downloads or marketing.
  • Unclear Messaging: The value prop and flow were not easy to understand at a glance.
  • Low Perceived Trust: As a finance tool, the absence of a professional design reduced user confidence.
FairShare needed a brand system and website that made users feel secure, curious, and excited — all while being simple enough to require no explanation.
Our Approach

We focused on clarity, warmth, and speed — delivering everything from identity to interface in three weeks.

1. Discovery & Direction

We defined FairShare’s user base (roommates, students, social groups), tone (approachable, smart, relaxed), and core journey — split > settle > done.

2. Visual Identity

Created a logo combining a bone and tag — playful, symbolic, and friendly. Selected deep green as the primary brand color for balance, and chose Inter Variable for modern, readable typography.

3. UX & Web Design

Designed a mobile-first layout with clear sections for features, walkthrough, and call-to-action. The structure guides visitors toward understanding the app’s value in under 10 seconds.

4. Copy & Messaging

We wrote product copy focused on simplicity and trust: "Split costs. Stay friends." Microcopy reinforced how the app worked and what made it safe to use.

5. Webflow Development

Developed a smooth, responsive experience with custom CMS sections for features and FAQs. A sticky CTA ensured the page remained conversion-focused.
